Worse yet, your new compressor could begin starting and stopping too often, leading to rapid cycling. That, in turn, requires more frequent maintenance and can lead to oil carryover and overheating. Long term, it increases wear and tear on critical internal parts and shortens a compressor\u2019s lifespan.
